Call for Proposals

The Forum on Education Abroad invites education abroad professionals, employers, career services experts, and thought leaders to submit session proposals for our upcoming Careers, Internships, and Global Learning (CIGL) Conference. Our focus for 2025 and beyond will be the future of work, employability trends, and the role of global learning in workforce preparation. 

In a rapidly evolving world, where globalization and technological innovation reshape the workplace, this conference explores how education abroad can be a transformative tool for equipping students with the skills, perspectives, and networks needed to thrive in tomorrow’s careers. 
We welcome proposals that address the intersection of education abroad, career development, and employability, with an emphasis on innovative approaches, actionable insights, and collaborations across sectors.

The conference will encourage discussion and debate, incorporating insights from our 2025 host region of Costa Rica and inspiration from participants. Sessions focused on innovative ideas, emerging research, evolving practices, and a variety of program models and applied learning methods are all welcome.  Panels including presenters from within and outside of higher education are encouraged. ​
