​The Forum on Education Abroad looks forward to convening colleagues at the 2024 Careers, Internships, and Global Learning (CIGL) Conference, with a focus on preparing future professionals through international internships, consulting projects, co-ops, community-engaged global learning, and other forms of globally-focused career preparation. 
​
Internships and career-integrated global learning are highly valued by employers and graduate programs when they combine high-impact global experiences with immersive engagement in a host organization or local community - and foster career competency development for students. Considering individual placements or industry-based and community-identified projects for organizations outside of students’ home countries, to global co-ops and pre-professional residencies and fellowships, the opportunities to explore how global experiences foster career exploration and skill development are vast.

As the pace of change in our societies continues to accelerate, the world of work is dramatically evolving. What does the future look like for today’s students? Which skills and knowledge will be most applicable? How can we ensure equitable access to career-integrated global learning opportunities? What makes career competencies acquired and developed abroad uniquely valuable to learners and employers? What is our special, distinctive value proposition to higher education, learners, and employers? ​

​If you are affiliated with an institution in a Low-and-Middle Income Country (LMIC), please contact The Forum at [email protected] to get registered for the conference. 

To receive the member rate, please log in before registering. Failing to login and erroneously paying the non-member rate will not grant a refund. To verify if your institution is a Forum Member, view the list here.

Early bird registration fees are effective: Opening to July 12, 2024
Regular registration fees are effective: July 13, 2024 to September 20, 2024
Late registration fees are effective: September 21, 2024 to October 11, 2024 
On site registration fees: October 13 to 15, 2024 

CIGL Refund / Cancellation Policy 
 
Registration fees may be refundable following the below schedule:

• Refund requested before July 12, 2024 = 90% refund 
• Refund requested between July 13, 2024 and September 20, 2024 = 50% refund

No refunds will be issued for cancellations received starting September 21 and after.
