Virtual Accelerated Residency

The Virtual Accelerated Residency provides a structured, cohort-based pathway to The Forum’s Professional Certification. Designed with today’s education abroad professionals in mind, this six-week program brings participants together to:

engage with the Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad,

learn alongside colleagues from across the field, and

connect key concepts to their work.

The experience culminates in an applied project, completed within three months of the Residency, through which participants demonstrate their learning and fulfill the final requirement for certification.

Because of the collaborative nature of the program, participants should enroll only if they can commit to attending all scheduled sessions.

Program Structure

Through six live sessions, participants explore key areas of education abroad, engage with the Standards of Good Practice, and reflect on how these concepts apply in their own professional contexts.

Times:

11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. ET
- Program content and interactive activities
1:00–2:00 p.m. ET
- Assessment and reflection

Participants are encouraged to complete assessments during the scheduled assessment hour. Those unable to stay may complete and submit their work before the following week's session.

Culminating Project
Following the Residency, participants will have three months to complete and submit their project. The submission deadline is February 12, 2027.

Low-and-Medium Income Country (LMIC) Discount

Individuals affiliated with an institution in a LMIC are eligible for a:

Cancellation and Refund Policy

For this event, the cancellation period is as follows:

Refund requested before or on August 2, 2026 = 90% refund
Refund requested between August 3 - August 31, 2026 = 50%
All refunds requested after September 1, 2026 = No refund and no registration transfers.
