The Forum on Education Abroad Welcomes Enda Carroll as Head of European Engagement Consultant

The Forum on Education Abroad is proud to announce the appointment of Enda Carroll as the organization’s new Head of European Engagement Consultant, effective October 1, 2025. With more than 20 years of experience in the field of education abroad, Enda brings to The Forum team a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to fostering international partnerships.  

This new position builds on a significant milestone in The Forum’s history: the first time a Board Chair was based at a member institution outside the United States. It also reflects years of cultivating international relationships and signals a strategic commitment to expanding collaboration, programming, and membership across Europe and beyond.

On sabbatical from the University College Dublin, Enda provided broad strategic leadership for global Study Abroad and student mobility. As Associate Director, she regularly collaborated with UCD’s Schools and Colleges in the areas of academic program development and the management of relationships with key partners in Europe, North America and globally. A decade ago, she established UCD’s first North America Global Centre in New York City. 

She has developed and led teams based in Dublin and the United States dedicated to the support and recruitment of Study Abroad students. She is a master’s graduate of the UCD Smurfit School of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from UCD. 

“I’m honored to take on this new project and continue building bridges across Europe,” said Enda. “The Forum’s mission resonates deeply with my own values, and I look forward to expanding Forum membership, deepening engagement, and creating meaningful opportunities for collaboration and professional development.”

Enda’s appointment is a natural extension of the trusting relationships she has built over two decades, especially with colleagues across Europe and around the world.

This new arrangement reflects The Forum’s ongoing commitment to mission-aligned partnerships and global engagement. With Enda as a valued member of The Forum team, the organization will be able to deepen the connections that have been nurtured with colleagues in the region and work together to champion high-quality education abroad experiences that ignite curiosity, impact lives, and contribute to a better world. ​
