The Forum on Education Abroad is pleased to announce the 2025 Forum Fellows: Hailey Hesseltine, selected for the Forum Fellowship Program with MISTI, and Lishanthi Caldera, recipient of the Sara’s Wish Foundation Fellowship. These fellowships reflect The Forum’s ongoing commitment to supporting professional development and advancing equity, access, and innovation in global learning.
The Forum on Education Abroad hosted its fifth Regional Seminar, Cultivating Connection: Encouraging Deeper Student Engagement in Popular Education Abroad Destinations, on January 31, 2025, in Barcelona. The event convened more than 70 international education professionals to explore strategies for fostering meaningful student engagement in Europe’s most popular study abroad destinations. Hosted at the CEA CAPA Barcelona Study Center, the seminar tackled challenges like high student volumes, linguistic diversity, and tourism pressures alongside shifting priorities in higher education.
As the Centering Justice Institute (CJI) approaches, the excitement is building for what promises to be an engaging and impactful experience. This year, the Institute will be held on Tuesday, March 18, in Toronto. This is the first time the event, which is hosted by The Forum on Education Abroad and The Community-Based Global Learning Collaborative, will take place just before The Forum’s in-person Annual Conference.
