On Wednesday, April 9, Dr. Kate Moore, co-founder of the Global Career Center, discussed this question and many more with Ezequiel Herrera, Associate Program Manager at Southwest Airlines, during the webinar, “Through an Employer’s Eyes: Why EA Matters, Part 3.” This virtual discussion is part of the “Employer Perspectives: Preparing Students for the Workforce of Tomorrow, Today” series, in which employers share their insights on globally focused career preparation and workforce development.
The Forum on Education Abroad is pleased to announce the 2025 Forum Fellows: Hailey Hesseltine, selected for the Forum Fellowship Program with MISTI, and Lishanthi Caldera, recipient of the Sara’s Wish Foundation Fellowship. These fellowships reflect The Forum’s ongoing commitment to supporting professional development and advancing equity, access, and innovation in global learning.

To round out an inspiring Annual Conference 2025, The Forum on Education Abroad celebrated several awards during the Closing Celebration Luncheon in Toronto on Friday, March 21. The luncheon presentation included announcing the winner of the Peter A. Wollitzer Advocacy Award, recognizing recipients of the Ron Koehn Conference Grant Award and Loren Ringer Award for On-Site International Educators, and, for the first time, the InnovateEA pitch competition.
