Description:     This specially-designed webinar will examine and discuss best practices in education abroad financial management, based on the Forum’s Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad and The Code of Ethics for Education Abroad.  The webinar presents essential concepts in education abroad finances.

Webinar participants will:

1)           Become more knowledgeable about how education abroad budgets function;

2)           Learn multiple approaches to program and administrative budgets;

3)           Examine enrollment management and currency models;

4)           Feel more comfortable talking with CFOs about education abroad finances;

5)           Learn how to approach ethical issues related to education abroad pricing and finances.

 The content of the webinar will assume that participants:

  • Know how to read a balance sheet.
  • Are familiar with institutional financial aid as a tuition discount.
  • Know where the revenue for their offices and programs comes from.
  • Have reviewed the Forum’s Standards of Good Practice and Code of Ethics for Education Abroad.

The webinar is designed to be as interactive as possible with a focus on the sharing of best practices in education abroad financial management.  The content presented focuses on the essential concepts in education abroad finances based on the Forum’s Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad and The Code of Ethics for Education Abroad.

Those colleagues who were on the waiting list for the first webinar will be given priority registration. Participants will be sent materials in advance and encouraged to ask questions and suggest specific topics that they would like to be addressed.  Participation is limited to 40 people.
