2012-13 Forum on Education Abroad
Workshop and Training Opportunities
The Forum’s workshops focus on issues of concern to the field of education abroad. Current workshop topics include: the Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad; standards for short-term programs; health and safety; the Code of Ethics; implications of the Clery Act; and developing customized protocols and procedures. These workshops are designed to be highly interactive, timely and informative, providing participants with current best practices and how these practices can be implemented to meet the Forum’s Standards of Good Practice. Workshops are led by experienced education abroad colleagues who are Forum-trained facilitators.
Forum member institutions may also wish to convene a customized workshop hosted on their campus, organization, or program sites. Customized workshops offer the opportunity to train faculty, staff and other colleagues in the areas of education abroad best practices that you identify as being most important for your organization.
