Learning and the growth of students as individuals form the core of education abroad. Surrounding this core are layers of culture, history, pedagogy, disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge; to these layers, each student adds their personal goals, diverse backgrounds, motivations, learning styles and career plans. The Forum’s Ninth Annual Conference examined the innumerable aspects and intersections of student learning and development in education abroad.
