I find it sad that public universities, their officers and staff, have been compromising the professional integrity and ethical standards that we demand of any who serve the public: doctors, lawyers, bankers. Clearly, during the interim of the investigation(s) of Attorney General Cuomo, all financially compromising relationships need to be disclosed and suspended to restore confidence and trust with the public, with students, and among professional relationships.
It is sad, if, indeed, it is happening in the field of education abroad. I would encourage you not to jump to conclusions based on what has been passed along to the public via the press so far. Anyone can make accusations without proof. If this investigation shows the accusations to be false, will the NYT critic accept this and move on?
